Senior Facilities Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Irving, Texas; the position may also be based in Peoria, Illinois or Dallas, Texas. Domestic relocation is available for qualified candidates. Travel is required, with domestic and international travel of up to 50% in the requirements and moderate travel of up to 30% in the additional information.

Salary: $147,760–$221,640 per year.

What you will do

• Lead multiple facilities capital projects, from renovations to large-scale new construction exceeding $10 million.
• Direct planning, programming, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Define project scope, budgets, schedules, risk plans, and performance expectations.
• Provide mechanical engineering guidance for office, warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing facilities.
• Coordinate with business units, real estate, environmental health and safety, purchasing, maintenance, risk management, executives, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and regulators.
• Improve project governance and facilities engineering processes while mentoring others and promoting safety, quality, sustainability, compliance, and financial stewardship.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of relevant facilities engineering, construction, or project management experience.
• Expert-level mechanical engineering and facilities project management experience, including scope, budget, schedule, risk, and contract management.
• Experience leading projects in manufacturing, industrial, commercial, institutional, or large corporate environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project or Planner.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Consulting engineering experience designing corporate office and industrial facilities.
• Experience with international facilities projects, workplace strategy, facility planning, or capital portfolio management.
• Knowledge of sustainability, energy efficiency, and facility modernization initiatives.
• PMP certification and a Professional Engineer or Architect's license.
• Experience managing large capital programs and global project portfolios in matrixed organizations.
