Manager Development Operations (DevOps) (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; hybrid, with in-person work at an assigned hirify.global office at least two days per week

Salary: $90,000–$168,750 annually

What you will do

• Lead the strategy, architecture, and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
• Design, deploy, and manage large-scale Kubernetes clusters supporting high-volume workloads and 99.999% reliability.
• Define DevOps standards and best practices across multiple teams, improving automation, performance, and operational maturity.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines covering automated testing, security validation, and reliable deployments.
• Establish Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms.
• Lead incident analysis and resilience initiatives, while managing and mentoring DevOps engineers and collaborating with engineering, architecture, and product teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud architecture, site reliability engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing engineering teams.
• Hands-on expertise in AWS, including EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• Experience operating production-grade Kubernetes environments at scale.
• Strong scripting skills with Bash or Python and experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Understanding of networking, security best practices, containerization, and cloud automation.
