Developer (Java)

Location: Remote within the continental United States, excluding California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii; hybrid in-office attendance policy may apply.

Base pay: $76,600–$138,500 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Support technology teams through on-the-job learning and meaningful assignments across software development, engineering, quality engineering, data, security, automation, and related areas.
• Help design, build, test, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with specialized team members, HCSC leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to support business needs.
• Test program code and applications, validate and cleanse data, and support data visualizations for user stories.
• Prepare data-backed business presentations and proposals, maintain technical documentation, and participate in project meetings.
• Follow risk management, compliance, employee policies, and quality standards while continuing to learn emerging tools and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Information Technology experience, or technical certification and/or college courses plus 4 years of Information Technology experience, or 6 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS, Java, ASP.NET, PHP, Ruby, or C#; Java experience is required.
• Experience with traditional application languages such as COBOL, Perl, or C+ and scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, or Ruby.
• Experience in application or product feature design, application configuration, integration technologies such as Tibco, Informatica, or CAS, and mobile technologies such as HP Anywhere, iOS, Android, Java, or HTML5.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture, cloud computing technologies including SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS, rapid prototyping, and SDLC methodologies including Agile, Scrum, or iterative development.
• Experience with system performance management, systems change and configuration management, and business requirements management.
• Problem-solving, analytical and creative thinking, ability to execute, attention to detail, workload and priority management, and ability to manage conflicts.
• Ability to perform computer entry while seated for the entire work shift, as required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
