Cloud Software Developer (Cloud)

Location: Hybrid in Ft. Collins, Colorado, United States; requires working from an HPE office an average of 2 days per week.

Salary: Annual base salary of USD 99,900–190,700 in Colorado; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-based applications and services for mission-critical applications under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and design discussions while following engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot software defects, performance issues, and system integration challenges.
• Collaborate on cloud-native solutions that improve system reliability and scalability.
• Contribute to development best practices, automation, modern engineering tools, and application or system data analysis.
• Document technical designs, implementation details, and operational procedures while supporting project teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Typically 2+ years of experience in software development, cloud development, or related disciplines.
• Proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, Golang, or JavaScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native application development concepts.
• Familiarity with microservices, containerization technologies, and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, testing methodologies, and debugging techniques.
• Knowledge of source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment, learn from experienced engineers, and work with enterprise software development practices and agile methodologies.
