Facility Manager (Robotics)

Location: Cambridge, MA, United States; onsite management of the headquarters facility

What you will do

• Own daily operations and preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, lighting, and other building systems.
• Coordinate facilities requests, inspections, repairs, certifications, supplies, procurement, and emergency response.
• Manage vendors, contractors, landlords, property managers, scopes of work, bids, contracts, schedules, quality, and budgets.
• Partner with office, robotics, hardware, engineering, and technology teams on equipment installation, utilities, server power, networking, and safe test and fabrication environments.
• Support EH&S compliance, hazardous and electronic waste management, emergency procedures, and safety requirements for high-voltage and machinery areas.
• Own the facilities budget and contribute to capital planning, space planning, buildouts, access control, and physical security.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of facilities management experience with people management or team leadership responsibility.
• Experience running complex, mixed-use building operations, including vendors, budgets, compliance, and daily operations.
• Working knowledge of commercial HVAC, electrical systems including three-phase power, plumbing, and fire/life safety.
• Strong safety orientation and familiarity with OSHA standards in heavy-equipment, machinery, or light-industrial environments.
• Experience with access control systems and user administration, including onboarding, offboarding, and routine changes.
• Employment requires completion of hirify.global’ E-Verify process after hiring.

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup, R&D, advanced manufacturing, robotics, or product-development environment.
• Familiarity with machine shops, fabrication environments, compressed air systems, or high-voltage robotics equipment.
• Experience leading facilities capital projects and reading MEP construction drawings.
• Experience hiring, onboarding, or managing facilities and technical staff.
• CFM, IFMA, BOMA, or equivalent certification.
