Burt's Inventory Planner

Location: Hybrid role based in Alpharetta, GA or Durham, NC, USA, with in-office attendance three days per week

Salary: $61,800–$135,800 per year, depending on work location and salary zone

What you will do

• Manage finished-goods inventory at item level across a mixed regional distribution center network to maximize product availability and service.
• Monitor inventory health, forecast consumption, case fill, and customer-level gaps, escalating risks and implementing mitigation plans.
• Rebuild near-term inventory plans when supply or demand changes from the S&OE plan.
• Execute item transitions, new product introductions, end-of-life inventory run-outs, and customer inventory resets.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Deployment, Logistics, Distribution, Transportation, Sales, and Customer Operations teams on production, capacity, allocation, and network execution.
• Maintain item-location inventory settings and master data for systemic inventory management.

Requirements

• Ability to manage multiple inventory-management variables to maximize service levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify gaps and implement practical solutions.
• Proficiency in analyzing data, trends, inventory policies, and relationships among operational variables.
• Exposure to customer operations and the ability to respond to changing demand drivers and order patterns.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations and short-term execution tradeoffs.
• Ability to work from Alpharetta, Georgia, or Durham, North Carolina, and attend the office three days per week.
