NetOps Engineer (Mobile Networks)

Location: Sant Joan Despí (Barcelona), Spain; hybrid work with 3 days of remote work

What you will do

• Operate and maintain IP and mobile packet core networks.
• Manage incidents, service requests, changes, and problems.
• Support customer projects, network deployments, and network integration.
• Troubleshoot network issues and escalate complex cases to R&D.
• Maintain technical documentation, support reporting and monitoring, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Collaborate with NOC and cross-functional teams globally to improve network services.

Requirements

• Formal telecommunications, electronics, or IP networking qualifications, or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with IP networks, VLANs, and routing fundamentals.
• High-level English is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Diameter, RADIUS, GTP, SIGTRAN, SCCP, and SIP protocols.
• Experience with Layer 2/3 routing and switching, BGP, IPsec VPNs, and Wireshark.
• Experience with Linux, databases, virtualization, containers, cloud platforms, and mobile core platforms.

Nice to have

• Understanding of mobile roaming architecture, GRX, IPX, and signalling interconnects.
• Knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G technologies.
• Experience maintaining on-premises equipment and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience deploying and maintaining production infrastructure with high uptime and reliability.
