Senior Cisco SD-WAN & Network Specialist (Cisco Viptela)

Location: Spain, with a hybrid setup at the Madrid or Barcelona hub

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end WAN builds for new sites, acquisitions, office expansions, and data center integrations.
• Design and implement secure network segmentation, VRF mapping, and multi-cloud interconnectivity with LAN and Data Center teams.
• Design and deploy dynamic routing topologies across diverse WAN transports to optimize traffic flow, application delivery, and availability.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex incidents, performance bottlenecks, routing loops, and failover issues.
• Use administrative access to validate, test, and execute critical changes across regional network fabrics.
• Manage projects and client requests while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external Managed Service Providers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of enterprise IT network engineering experience; approximately 5 years may be considered with demonstrated advanced expertise.
• Mandatory hands-on experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco Viptela SD-WAN fabrics, including vManage, vSmart, vBond, and edge devices.
• Expert-level knowledge of BGP, OSPF, multi-VRF segmentation, dynamic routing, and complex overlay/underlay architectures.
• Strong understanding of LAN topologies, Data Center interconnects, and enterprise security segmentation.
• Professional fluency in English is required for collaboration with global colleagues, business partners, and vendors.
• Availability to work in a hybrid format from the Madrid or Barcelona hub in Spain.
