TL;DR
Principal Backend Software Development Engineer (Mexico) (Python/Java/Node/Go): Leading end-to-end delivery and support of APIs and backend services for digital real estate solutions with an accent on systems design, persistence strategies, and maintainable software architecture. Focus on designing features, reviewing code, facilitating engineering discussions, mentoring engineers, and raising standards for testing and code quality.

Location: Remote anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City for occasional office events

What you will do

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery and ongoing support of software projects.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new features for APIs and services.
  • Review peer code and promote standard methodologies across engineering.
  • Facilitate engineering discussions and influence systems design, testing, code quality, and maintainability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with a highly multifunctional team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong experience with Python, Java, NodeJS, and Go for APIs and services.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.
  • Must be authorized to work in Mexico.
  • Recognized technical leadership experience with impact beyond the immediate team.
