Manager, Global Billing Operations

Location: Boston, MA; must work from the hirify.global office at least 2 days per week

Salary: $92,000–$137,500 base salary per year, with potential incentive compensation and equity

What you will do

• Own global billing operations, including billing setup, invoice generation, validation, delivery, cash application, and reconciliation.
• Manage collections, accounts receivable aging, payment delays, disputes, and performance metrics such as DSO and past-due balances.
• Align Salesforce, NetSuite, contract terms, pricing structures, booking policies, and revenue accounting requirements.
• Improve and standardize billing and AR processes across regions, entities, and customer segments, including automation initiatives.
• Ensure SOX compliance, audit readiness, documentation of controls, tax and invoicing compliance, and support for external audits.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Global Billing Operations team while partnering with RevOps, Deal Desk, Sales, Finance, Revenue Accounting, and customers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in billing operations or finance operations, preferably in SaaS or technology.
• 3+ years of people management experience and strong Order to Cash experience.
• Strong experience with NetSuite and Salesforce.
• Deep knowledge of billing processes, invoicing structures, collections workflows, and complex deal environments.
• Experience with automation, AI, or process improvement initiatives, plus strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work from the Boston office at least 2 days per week.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ASC 606 and revenue recognition considerations.
• Experience with marketplace billing through AWS or Azure and third-party invoicing tools such as Coupa or Ariba.
• Exposure to Government portal WAAF, tax processes, and multi-entity environments.
