Finance Automation Lead (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; onsite work model with in-office presence 5 days a week

Base salary for California applicants: $110,000–$140,000 annually, plus eligible stock options and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the order-to-cash process, collections strategy, accounts receivable balance, DSO, and cash conversion cycle.
• Resolve billing disputes and overdue balances with Sales, Account Management, customers, and internal business partners.
• Lead and coach offshore collections analysts while shifting routine work toward exception handling.
• Build AI-powered agents for collections prioritization, outreach, remittance matching, dispute triage, invoice checks, and finance operations.
• Automate reconciliations, close activities, procure-to-pay, cash reporting, forecasting inputs, and lender compliance reporting.
• Integrate NetSuite, billing and payment systems, banks, and BI tools while implementing controls, audit trails, documentation, and production runbooks.

Requirements

• Recent, demonstrable experience building AI/LLM-powered or agentic workflows used in real operations.
• Working knowledge of order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, month-end close, reconciliations, and ERP-connected finance processes.
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel or Google Sheets capabilities.
• Experience with workflow automation or integration tools such as Workato, Zapier, n8n, Make, or APIs.
• Experience leading or developing people, including remote or offshore teams.
• Confidence working with customers and Sales on billing and collections issues and influencing teams without direct authority.

Nice to have

• Experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or broader finance operations.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Upflow, Salesforce, VMS, Fieldglass, Beeline, Coupa, or Ariba.
• Familiarity with internal controls, SOX, or external audits.
