Infrastructure Engineer - Db2 Support (Mainframe)

Location: In-office in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, Phoenix, AZ, Dallas, TX, or Denver, CO

Base salary: $86,250–$172,500 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Install, configure, test, deploy, and maintain mainframe system software across multiple sysplexes.
• Install and support Db2 for z/OS or Db2 LUW environments.
• Provide infrastructure support to MIS and end users, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Perform on-call duties and support incident and change processes.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, developers, and other staff on infrastructure projects.
• Coach junior staff and analyze customer technology needs.

Requirements

• Must work in-office in one of the listed U.S. locations.

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience, with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with z/OS, SMP/E, mainframe JCL, system utilities, and Db2 installation and support.
• Knowledge of IBM Administration Tool, IBM Query Monitor, CA-7, CA-OPS/MVS, ISPF, REXX, CA-ACF2, IDCAMS, Unix System Services, TCP/IP, and related mainframe technologies.
• Experience with mainframe security, project planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Nice to have

• Programming experience with REXX, CLIST, SAS, COBOL, or ASM.
• Familiarity with Syncsort, NDM, VSAM, user exits, SharePoint, JIRA, Topaz, and ServiceNow.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
