Location: Remote, Work At Home in Pennsylvania, United States; US citizenship required due to contractual and access requirements. Travel requirement: 0%–25%; after-hours and weekend on-call support may be required.

What you will do

• Administer, maintain, design, and modify DB2 databases and database objects across production and test environments, primarily in DB2 for z/OS mainframe environments.
• Monitor and tune database and SQL performance, support capacity planning, and forecast storage utilization.
• Implement database changes, upgrades, patches, releases, and production rollouts through change management and peer review processes.
• Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, problem management, application support, and on-call operations across z/OS, UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms.
• Execute and test backups, disaster recovery strategies, high-availability mechanisms, maintenance changes, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Partner with application teams, provide database design and SQL guidance, mentor colleagues, develop automation, and maintain standards, documentation, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required due to contractual and access requirements.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of information technology experience.
• Experience administering and supporting DB2 databases and related database objects, including tablespaces, tables, indexes, views, packages, and plans.
• Ability to support database performance tuning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, high availability, capacity planning, and database governance.
• Ability to work with application teams on database implementations, SQL optimization, technical reviews, testing, and production support.
• Ability to provide after-hours and weekend support for on-call duties, database refreshes, testing, upgrades, and other off-hour assignments.
• Ability to comply with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, audit controls, HIPAA, security policies, and database governance procedures.

• Vendor DBA certification for the relevant DBMS.
