Automation Quotation Engineer (Automation & Digital)

Location: On-site in Portsmouth, United Kingdom; the team is also located in Little Chalfont, England or Krakow, Poland

What you will do

• Educate customers on the design space for standard Automation & Digital platform offerings.
• Translate customer needs into automation and digital product offerings and custom projects.
• Bridge customers, commercial teams, and engineering groups across time zones.
• Develop cost, scope, and schedule estimates independently or with hardware teams, Product Management, and other stakeholders.
• Own, maintain, and continuously improve cost-estimation tools and metrics for the Cytiva BioProcess portfolio.
• Provide customer feedback to Product Management and support opportunities involving the Intelligent Equipment portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Multiple years of experience in automation or controls engineering.
• Experience with automation platforms such as Rockwell, Emerson, Siemens, AVEVA PI, or AVEVA System Platform.
• Experience with Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and OPC DA/UA protocols.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with customers.
• Ability to travel approximately 10%.

Nice to have

• Electrical design experience.
• Networking and cybersecurity experience.
• Life science industry experience, particularly with single-use bioreactors and mixers.
