Rubrik Architect (Data Protection & Cyber Resilience)

Salary: £550–£650 per day, Inside IR35

hirify.global is recruiting for a cloud engineering and architecture contract supporting a major UK energy and utilities organisation.

What you will do

• Define solution architectures, technical designs, and reference patterns for enterprise backup, recovery, and cyber resilience.
• Lead the design and enhancement of Rubrik-based services across on-premises infrastructure and public cloud environments.
• Align data protection solutions with enterprise architecture, security, governance, and engineering standards.
• Support recovery testing and validation for critical business services.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code and automation using Terraform and Ansible.
• Develop service-health, compliance, risk, and recovery-readiness reporting while providing technical leadership during delivery and service transition.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise data protection and recovery solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Rubrik, ideally including Rubrik Security Cloud and Cloud Data Management.
• Experience with hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises data centres and cloud platforms.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Understanding of cyber resilience, ransomware protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, stakeholder management, and enterprise security and governance frameworks.

Nice to have

• Rubrik certification.
• Relevant Azure, AWS, or ITIL qualifications.
