TL;DR
Cloud Architect (Spain Only) (AWS/Azure): Standardizing and governing AWS and Azure environments, consolidating legacy cloud platforms after M&A, and driving FinOps across business units with an accent on security, resilience, and cost efficiency. Focus on designing multi-cloud architecture, integrating inherited environments, building Terraform and Ansible automation, and enabling sustainable 24/7 operations.
Location: Remote within Spain only; based in Leon, Spain.

What you will do
- Standardize and govern AWS and Azure architectures, managed databases, reference patterns, and guardrails.
- Drive company-wide FinOps, including tagging, cost attribution, optimization, and showback models.
- Lead the consolidation and integration of legacy cloud environments inherited through M&A activity.
- Embed security and compliance controls, including ISO 27001 and SOC 2, into cloud architecture.
- Support engineering and modeling teams with solution design, technology evaluation, and complex problem resolution.
- Enable resilient 24/7 operations through runbooks, automation, disaster recovery, observability, and incident-response-oriented infrastructure.
Requirements
- Must be based in Spain for this remote position.
- 8–10+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience, including 4–5 years in cloud architecture or technical reference roles.
- Production-grade experience with both AWS and Azure, plus strong Terraform and Ansible expertise.
- Experience with FinOps, cloud integration or consolidation, workload migrations, and connectivity harmonization.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS environments or product platforms and resilient 24/7 operations, including RTO/RPO planning.
- Full professional English proficiency required.
Nice to have
- Experience with compute-intensive workloads, large-scale storage, or scientific data pipelines.
- Post-M&A cloud experience and inherited technical debt remediation.
- Infrastructure CI/CD, GitOps, observability tooling, or AWS and Azure architect certifications.
- Education or certifications in computer science, computer engineering, systems administration, or software development.
