What you will do

• Prepare complete electrical estimates for industrial and commercial projects, including mission-critical, automotive, and healthcare projects.
• Interpret civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage design drawings and specifications.
• Prepare material and subcontractor quotations, perform electrical takeoffs, and estimate labor, materials, and administrative costs.
• Use Enterprise or other estimating software to enter data, perform takeoffs, and maintain accurate estimate records.
• Participate in kickoff meetings, pre-bid meetings, job walks, bid reviews, debriefs, and customer interviews.
• Coordinate with Business Development, designers, project managers, general foremen, and other stakeholders to resolve estimating issues and support project turnover.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a two-year degree in Electrical Construction or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical conceptual estimating, low-voltage estimating, National Electrical Code requirements, and design-build estimating.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe/Bluebeam, virtual meeting software, and computerized estimating software.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, time-management, communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, mentor and train others, and collaborate with diverse internal and external teams.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Eagan, Minnesota office arrangement.
