Senior Software Engineer, Cumberland/Options Data

Location: New York City, United States

Salary: $175,000–$225,000 annual base salary, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Collaborate with traders, researchers, and engineering teams to deliver data solutions for trading activities.
• Own data products from initial concept through stable production.
• Design and maintain batch-processing and real-time streaming systems for high-volume time-series datasets.
• Develop APIs and data access methods for fast retrieval of historical and live data.
• Support data quality, reliability, and system operations, including on-call support.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with Python, Java, or C++, with the ability to work across multiple programming languages.
• Experience delivering production systems directly with customers in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.
• Experience in financial markets, especially delta one, store of value, or FICC options trading.
• Experience with Linux-based, concurrent, high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Experience with pipeline orchestration, streaming platforms, data lake platforms, and relational databases.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, or equivalent experience.
