Sr. Software Engineer (Data Ingestion)

Location: US, Remote; up to 5% travel may be required.

Base salary: $199,750–$260,000 annually, plus stock options for full-time employees.

hirify.global is a remote cybersecurity company developing NodeZero, a platform for autonomous penetration testing and security assessment operations.

What you will do

• Design, implement, operate, and monitor data ingestion pipelines processing pentest results, discovered assets, vulnerability findings, and network topology data.
• Own pipeline delivery from schema design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
• Build ETL components in Go and/or Python to normalize heterogeneous execution-engine outputs.
• Define and evolve data contracts with Asset Inventory and Data Platform teams.
• Diagnose production issues involving pipeline latency, data correctness, and throughput.
• Contribute to design and code reviews and provide guidance to P3 engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with production backend systems.
• Strong Go and/or Python proficiency and production experience with data pipelines or ETL systems.
• Working knowledge of message queues or event streaming systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with relational databases, including schema design, query optimization, and migrations.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and distributed systems running in AWS or an equivalent cloud.
• Operational mindset with experience instrumenting services, writing runbooks, and owning systems through their lifecycle.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with graph databases or graph data models, including Neo4j or DGraph.
• Experience with Apache Kafka at production scale.
• Cybersecurity, security tooling, vulnerability data, offensive security, or penetration-testing experience.
