Multi-platform Producer, NBC & Telemundo Dallas/Fort Worth

What you will do

• Create original written, video, social media, and streaming content for NBC 5.
• Participate in editorial discussions and collaborate with newsroom and station teams on coverage priorities.
• Conceptualize, shoot, edit, and publish video and social media content in multiple formats.
• Write, copy edit, format, curate, and schedule articles and other content for websites, apps, and other platforms.
• Adapt television stories for digital audiences and coordinate with local and national content partners.
• Respond quickly to breaking news, weather, and sports developments while identifying opportunities to increase audience engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience shooting and editing video and photos.
• Knowledge of AP style and/or broadcast writing.
• Ability to collaborate in a creative, competitive, fast-paced environment and manage multiple stories simultaneously.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
• Must be available to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice to have

• Written and verbal fluency in English and Spanish.
• Experience producing news or similar content for social media or YouTube.
• Basic knowledge of live broadcast news production.
• Understanding of SEO and social media strategies for increasing visibility and engagement.
• Familiarity with the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
