What you will do

• Enterprise original and impactful local news stories for broadcast, digital, streaming, and social media platforms.
• Deliver clear and confident live reports during breaking news and developing stories.
• Write, present, and produce concise content tailored to each platform.
• Build sources and conduct interviews with newsmakers and community members.
• Collaborate with producers, photographers, and newsroom staff on coverage and segment ideas.
• Shoot and edit video and contribute to the station’s digital presence and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of news reporting experience.
• Strong on-air presence, live reporting, ad-libbing, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Sound news judgment and understanding of current events, local issues, and storytelling techniques.
• Proficiency with newsroom technology, video editing software, digital publishing tools, and multimedia storytelling.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts.
