Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite at the NewsNation offices

Salary: $37,500–$45,000 annually

What you will do

• Research stories, contact sources, verify information, and support reporting.
• Gather video, audio, photographs, and other editorial elements for news coverage.
• Coordinate with field teams, support live hits, and help arrange transmission facilities and satellite capacity.
• Monitor social media, competitive broadcasts, cable networks, and digital platforms.
• Clear user-generated content and communicate rights and clearance restrictions.
• Compile editorial and logistics notes for newsgathering and show teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• One to two years of television or multiplatform production experience, including internships.
• Strong writing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to contribute ideas.
• Willingness to work extended or modified shifts, weekdays, and holidays as news developments require.
• Flexibility to adjust schedules and assignments based on network needs.
