Senior Analyst, IT Financial Planning & Analysis

Location: Florham Park, New Jersey, USA; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home

Salary: $95,200–$126,700 USD per annum

What you will do

• Own annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning for IT expenses, headcount, and capital investments.
• Partner with IT leaders during financial reviews, identify risks and opportunities, and translate technology priorities into financial implications.
• Forecast software and SaaS subscriptions, cloud consumption, managed services, telecommunications, hardware, cybersecurity, professional services, and labor costs.
• Support month-end close, accruals, purchase orders, prepaid expenses, capitalization, depreciation, and project-to-asset transitions.
• Evaluate technology business cases using ROI, payback, total cost of ownership, and scenario analysis.
• Improve IT financial reporting, planning models, spend transparency, data quality, and governance.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or business finance experience, including direct support for IT budgets, forecasts, and technology investments.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, communication, and business-partnering skills.
• Knowledge of IT financial management, including operating versus capital expenses, software capitalization, cloud and SaaS cost models, vendor contracts, project spend, and technology cost allocation.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience building scalable forecasting models and executive-ready reporting.
• Ability to work independently, challenge assumptions, identify financial risks, and present recommendations to senior management.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, CMA, or relevant technology-finance experience.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service, Hyperion, or Smart View.
• Experience with ERP, procurement, project portfolio management, IT service management, or technology business management data.
