Core Financial Analyst (Financial Accounting)

Salary: $65,000–$90,000 base salary per year plus annual bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Prepare pension and 401(k) plan financial statements, monitor investment statements, and maintain benefit plan policies and procedures.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with external auditors and support accounting for benefit plans from the plan sponsor perspective.
• Support occupancy controllers with financial analysis and reporting and assist with lease accounting models and updates.
• Help manage the corporate insurance portfolio, including submissions, invoices, client inquiries, broker and underwriter meetings, and annual strategy updates with the CFO.
• Lead ad-hoc financial analysis projects, prepare presentation materials, and support monthly financial statement preparation.
• Assess accounting best practices and prepare accounting fee presentations for the Audit Committee.

Requirements

• CPA license strongly preferred, or current progress toward the examinations with the hours required for licensure in the relevant state.
• 3–5 years of experience in public accounting, a financial institution, or an investment bank; Big Four experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial results to non-financial audiences.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with data.
• Polished presentation skills using PowerPoint, charts, and executive-ready materials.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organization while managing multiple workstreams.
