Senior Operations Payment Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Munich, Germany

What you will do

• Own daily reconciliation, SEPA payment processing, and liquidity management end to end.
• Ensure operational continuity and restore payment processes during outages.
• Design scalable processes, identify optimization opportunities, and eliminate operational risks and control gaps.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor team members to maintain high execution standards.
• Analyze complex cash transactions, evaluate solutions, and make fact-based decisions.
• Coordinate liquidity and SEPA payment communications with trustees, central banks, and service providers.

Requirements

• Completed banking apprenticeship, Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of financial services experience, preferably in a bank’s middle or back office.
• Comprehensive knowledge of payment and banking processes, including SEPA payments, account reconciliation, backend technologies, and external partner dependencies.
• Ability to handle ambiguity, assess results, make fact-based decisions, and manage competing business-critical priorities.
• Composure and diligence in stressful, time-sensitive situations.
• Fluent English in written and spoken communication required; German is a plus.
