Staff Software Developer (TypeScript/Node.js)

Location: Fully remote, open to candidates located in Canada

Salary: CAD 160,000–220,000 annually, depending on experience

What you will do

• Design, architect, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable features across web and mobile platforms.
• Build infrastructure, tools, and processes that improve efficiency and reduce customer onboarding and integration time.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align engineering decisions with business and customer needs.
• Work with customers and technology partners to understand requirements, solve technical challenges, and deliver customized integrations.
• Use LLMs and AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.
• Improve system reliability, observability, scalability, and performance while mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep expertise with TypeScript and modern JavaScript ecosystems.
• Strong experience designing scalable backend services with Node.js.
• Experience building complex web applications with React and/or React Native.
• Staff-level experience driving technical direction without formal authority, including scalable architecture, system design, integrations, and distributed systems.
• Ability to operate autonomously, take ownership, work through ambiguity, and collaborate across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience in building materials, construction, or related industries.
