Software Engineer (Payments)

Location: Hybrid or remote in the United States; offices in San Francisco and New York.

Salary: $140,000–$260,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop core payment surfaces and backend systems.
• Build and improve payment flows supporting hundreds of millions of dollars in subscription revenue.
• Design and ship payout systems and subscription features such as gift subscriptions.
• Own projects from product concept and proposal through implementation, experimentation, and measurement.
• Collaborate on payment processor integrations, including Stripe.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building and shipping web applications.
• Independent, autonomous approach to work and strong product intuition.
• Ability to work with TypeScript, Node/Express, React, and Postgres, or willingness to learn them.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating with payment processors, especially Stripe.
