OCC RPAS Pilot-Vaughan

Location: Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. Full-time onsite position with overnight shifts, including possible weekends and holidays.

What you will do

• Monitor and support safe remotely piloted aircraft operations from the Operations Control Center.
• Coordinate missions, flights, pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures.
• Review flight operations and performance data using ground control, radar, and tracking systems.
• Communicate over aviation-band radio and coordinate with general aviation and emergency response teams.
• Support system integration, validation, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• Valid Transport Canada RPAS Pilot Certificate – Level 1 Complex Operations (L1C).
• Restricted Operator Certificate – Aeronautical (ROC-A).
• Experience with DJI FlightHub 2 and UAV/RPAS operations through Ground Control Station software.
• Knowledge of operating and emergency procedures, with strong communication, situational awareness, and decision-making skills.
• Availability for 40 hours per week and overnight operations during hours of darkness.
• Must meet the security requirements for the position. A valid driver’s license may be required.

Nice to have

• Education or training in aerospace, aircraft piloting, or a related field.
• Experience with VHF or air-band radio and air traffic control communications.
• Transport Canada RPAS Pilot Certificate – Operations and RPAS Flight Reviewer qualification.
• Experience with BVLOS operations, experimental unmanned aircraft systems, or SFOC and other special authorizations.
