What you will do

• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure environmental compliance at the Alpine Facility.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Design and deliver HSE training and orientations for new hires and existing employees.
• Analyze incident and near-miss data to identify trends and recommend risk reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR to manage WorkSafeBC (WSBC) claims and return-to-work plans.
• Support the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) and conduct regular site audits and risk assessments.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Pemberton, BC.
• 3-5 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
• In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety laws (WSBC, WSIB, WHMIS).
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in production environments with exposure to noise, dust, and controlled substances.

Nice to have

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• CRSP designation.
• Experience in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, or Food Production.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and incident reporting software.
