Lead Analyst (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid role with a primary office location in San Francisco, California, US; regular office attendance is expected

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of analysts while setting research priorities and ensuring rigorous, timely output.
• Direct coverage strategy for wafer fabrication equipment suppliers, foundries, materials, and semiconductor manufacturing technologies.
• Build and maintain three-statement financial and industry models covering equipment spending, foundry capacity, node transitions, and capital intensity.
• Author major research publications and advise institutional clients through research notes, briefings, and direct discussions.
• Represent hirify.global at semiconductor conferences and supplier events in San Francisco, Asia, and other global locations.
• Coordinate research workflows across US and APAC teams and analyze semiconductor manufacturing and AI-driven demand trends.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in equity research, semiconductor industry analysis, or wafer fabrication equipment product management or marketing.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior analysts with responsibility for quality and delivery timelines.
• Deep knowledge of lithography, deposition, etch, metrology, advanced packaging, semiconductor manufacturing, and foundry economics.
• Ability to build and audit complex three-statement financial models linked to capacity, utilization, pricing, and capital intensity.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong written communication for data-dense research reports and institutional presentations; Python or other data tooling is preferred.
• Full professional proficiency in English and ability to work regularly from the San Francisco office in a hybrid environment are required.
