FP&A Director (AI)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; Workplace: Hybrid

What you will do

• Own the financial model covering the annual operating plan, forecasts, scenarios, headcount, cash, and recurring planning cycles.
• Run monthly flash reporting, month-end close activities, PAVRR analysis, quarterly planning, and variance reporting.
• Coordinate leadership-team agendas, pre-reads, metric reporting, decision capture, and strategic follow-through.
• Partner with HR, Recruiting, IT, Marketing, and Sales Operations on headcount, compensation, vendor, SaaS, marketing, and commission planning.
• Produce budget-versus-actual P&Ls and recurring reporting on cash, pipeline, ARR, ACV, retention, CAC payback, burn multiple, and workforce metrics.
• Prepare lender, bank, investor, data-room, and financing-diligence reporting packages.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or consulting, including at least 3 years in a high-growth B2B technology business.
• Expertise building three-statement, driver-based, scenario, and cohort financial models from scratch in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong command of SaaS metrics including ARR, ACV, NRR, GRR, bookings coverage, CAC payback, burn multiple, and magic number.
• Experience owning executive or board-level operating cadences, including agendas, pre-reads, decision capture, and follow-through.
• Hands-on experience building or materially extending workflows with Claude, ChatGPT, or comparable AI tooling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a comparable quantitative field; willingness to travel as needed. Visa sponsorship is not available.

• CFA, CPA, or MBA.
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP, Salesforce, Looker, Tableau, Sigma, or SQL.
