Recruiter

Location: Remote, but candidates must be based in the United States and able to work full-time; the role is based in Chicago, Illinois.

What you will do

• Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, outreach, interview coordination, candidate communication, and offers.
• Build candidate pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals, job platforms, and other recruiting channels.
• Coordinate employee onboarding, including documentation, device procurement, system access, benefits enrollment, and orientation.
• Support employee changes, transfers, leave administration, offboarding, and maintenance of accurate employee records.
• Maintain HR policies, templates, documentation, training records, certifications, and compliance workflows.
• Improve recruiting, onboarding, HR administration, and people operations processes.

Requirements

• Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, HR operations, people operations, or a related role.
• Experience managing multiple recruitment and employee administration workflows simultaneously.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, attention to detail, and independent ownership.
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential candidate and employee information.
• Ability to work with senior leadership, employees, candidates, and external vendors.
• Must be based in the United States and able to work full-time.

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup, research, technology, or professional-services environment.
• Experience recruiting for technical, analytical, research, or business roles.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, HR information systems, recruiting platforms, and sourcing tools.
• Understanding of US onboarding, benefits administration, employment documentation, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Experience supporting distributed or globally based workforces and improving workflows.
