Shift Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering (Sputter Process)

Location: Onsite in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and follow up on sputter-system start-up, conversion, characterization, and process documentation.
• Monitor sputter parameters, online SPC, procedure conformance, utilization, downtime, yield, and quality.
• Troubleshoot sputter-process and yield issues with shift process and Anelva yield teams.
• Lead process-improvement projects involving new products, machines, process qualification, cost, quality, PPH, SU, and STT.
• Improve media magnetic baseline, process stability, and repeatability through recipe tuning and optimization.
• Supervise, coach, and train process technicians, engineering specialists, and characterization technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Material Science and Engineering.
• 1–3 years of work experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• English communication skills, spoken and written.
• Ability to follow safety and health rules and perform manufacturing engineering duties safely.

Nice to have

• Studies or a thesis related to vacuum technology.
