Senior Cost Manager

Location: Birmingham, United Kingdom, with hybrid working

What you will do

• Provide core quantity surveying services across multiple projects and client accounts.
• Prepare indicative budgets, feasibility appraisals, and elemental cost plans.
• Run competitive tender processes and manage contractor queries.
• Deliver pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services.
• Apply commercial, procurement, contractual, environmental, health, safety, security, and quality procedures.
• Support formal dispute resolution and contract close-out strategies.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar technical discipline.
• MRICS or membership of another relevant professional body.
• Experience in pre-construction cost planning, estimating, feasibility, and cost planning.
• Knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
• Experience with procurement advice, tender documentation, and post-contract services.
• Ability to manage complex projects, stakeholders, competing workloads, and deadlines while maintaining a proactive, client-focused approach.
