Engineering Manager - Accounting (AI)

What you will do

• Lead and develop a cross-functional team of Backend and Frontend engineers.
• Build accounting features that automate bookkeeping and show customers their VAT obligations in real time.
• Turn complex accounting and tax workflows into clear experiences for business owners.
• Ship AI-first accounting experiences, including chat-based answers based on customers’ accounting files.
• Co-own the product roadmap with Product and Design partners while guiding technical design.
• Stay close to the code and maintain a high technical standard.

Requirements

• Experience leading engineers as a manager or Tech Lead, with a focus on people development.
• Production engineering experience in Backend with Go or Frontend with React.
• Recent coding experience or strong system design skills.
• Practical use of AI in engineering work and the ability to encourage AI-driven development.
• Fluent French and English required.

• Familiarity with the French accounting ecosystem, accounting services, and how accountants work with businesses.

Hiring process

• Initial interview with the Talent Acquisition Manager, followed by an interview with the future manager.
• Two-hour AI live skills test in Backend or Frontend with two engineers.
• Final interview with the VP Engineering; the process is intended to take up to 10 business days from the first interview to a potential offer.
