Senior DevOps Engineer, CI/CD Platform (Developer Experience)

Location: Madrid, Spain; office-first hybrid setup with onsite work 80% of the time and remote work supported 20% of the time

What you will do

• Own CI and CD Kubernetes clusters, including capacity, reliability, upgrades, security, and cost.
• Operate self-hosted GitHub Actions at scale with Actions Runner Controller, ephemeral runners, runner images, and Docker-in-Docker.
• Design and optimize build caches, registry mirrors, and the MySQL, Redis, and ClickHouse services used by test jobs.
• Measure and reduce queue wait times and build duration through platform instrumentation and performance improvements.
• Manage infrastructure as code and GitOps delivery using Terraform, Flux, Argo CD, Kustomize, and Helm.
• Provision bare-metal Linux infrastructure, lead incident response, and turn postmortems into alerts, guardrails, and runbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience running production infrastructure with Kubernetes at its center.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes scheduling, resource management, evictions, node pressure, DaemonSets, controllers, and operators.
• Strong Linux and container fundamentals, including containerd or Docker, cgroups, namespaces, storage drivers, and networking.
• Experience with Terraform, infrastructure as code, CI/CD platforms, GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, and build caching.
• Scripting experience with Bash and at least one of Python or Go.
• Experience with observability, on-call operations, incident response, postmortems, capacity planning, and cost management. Clear written English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with large Ruby on Rails test suites and test parallelization.
• Operating MySQL, Redis, or ClickHouse; provisioning bare-metal infrastructure and troubleshooting hardware failures.
• Overlay networking, WireGuard, VLANs, Kubernetes CNIs such as Cilium, or multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Cloudflare.
• Internal developer tooling, platform APIs, build security, runner isolation, secret scoping, image provenance, or open-source infrastructure contributions.
