Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS): Architecting and operating AWS infrastructure for a 24/7 SaaS revenue and profit management platform with an accent on reliability, security, scalability, and automation. Focus on designing migration infrastructure, strengthening application architecture, leading incident response, and eliminating manual toil through infrastructure tooling and AI-assisted operations.

Location: Fully remote, available from Croatia, Spain, or the United Kingdom

What you will do

Architect and implement AWS infrastructure for critical-system migrations while maintaining high availability and reliability.
Design, build, and maintain tooling and processes that help SaaS products scale and reduce manual operational work.
Partner with developers to improve application reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
Build and maintain secure, highly available infrastructure components.
Align infrastructure decisions with technical and business needs across cross-functional teams.
Participate in a weekly on-call rotation, lead root cause analysis, and implement lasting fixes for incidents affecting 24/7 services.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in Operations, DevOps, or SRE roles, including system design and architecture.
Hands-on cloud infrastructure administration, preferably AWS, with engineering-level networking and security knowledge.
Production experience with AWS services including IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
Production experience with Terraform or Terragrunt and Chef or Puppet.
Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, GitOps workflows, and monitoring tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
Ability to read and work across Java, Ruby, Bash/Zsh, HCL, Python, and JavaScript codebases.

Nice to have

Experience with ECS or EKS.
Exposure to SOC2 or secure-by-default practices.
Familiarity with Layer 7 load balancing.
