Senior DevOps Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid or remote in South Africa, Bulgaria, Poland, or Spain

Salary: Bulgaria €70,000–€90,000 EUR annually; Spain €80,000–€100,000 EUR annually; Poland PLN 350,000–420,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, provision, and maintain secure, scalable, resilient multi-region cloud infrastructure.
• Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines for safe, repeatable releases across environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting to support high availability and rapid incident response.
• Embed DevSecOps practices, automated compliance checks, access controls, and secrets management.
• Build developer platforms and self-service tooling for deploying, testing, and managing services.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship while participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota.

Requirements

• Extensive experience operating and scaling production systems in modern cloud environments such as AWS.
• Deep expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including EKS or an equivalent platform.
• Experience designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenSearch.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go, plus knowledge of cloud security, network architecture, permissions segregation, and secrets management.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulated environments, payments, fintech, or crypto and blockchain platforms.
• Exposure to AI-assisted developer workflows or automation tooling.
