Process Support Engineer-Display-Hefei/Chengdu-ALD (ALD)

Location: Hefei and Chengdu, China; onsite customer support and domestic travel required 75% of the time. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Provide onsite customer support through equipment installation, system diagnosis, service, and repair.
• Develop and qualify leading-edge processes for advanced semiconductor chip manufacturing in collaboration with customers and R&D teams.
• Design hypothesis experiments and DOEs, analyze data statistically, and prepare technical reports with high-level conclusions.
• Troubleshoot complex process and product issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders while communicating technical information clearly.
• Support junior colleagues, liaise between customers and business units, and lead small projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in a semiconductor fab or equipment industry.
• Hands-on experience in ALD process development, optimization, or manufacturing support.
• Strong understanding of thin-film deposition fundamentals and ALD reaction mechanisms.
• Experience with process characterization and metrology tools such as XRR, ellipsometry, SEM, TEM, XPS, or FTIR.
• English communication proficiency and willingness to travel domestically, with travel expected 75% of the time.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in materials science, chemical engineering, physics, chemistry, semiconductor engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with DOE, SPC, and statistical data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, communication, and teamwork skills.
