Production Engineering Specialist (AI/Lean Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Plan and optimize low-voltage electrical appliance production-line layouts, logistics flows, workstations, and capacity expansion or reduction solutions.
• Perform value stream mapping, identify waste, and create improvement roadmaps covering delivery time, inventory, and cost reduction.
• Support new product introduction through manufacturability assessments, capacity analysis, line balancing, workstation design, and standardized NPI milestones.
• Design and maintain standard operating work documents, standard-time databases, and shop-floor compliance audits.
• Lead process optimization, structured root-cause analysis, Poka-Yoke implementation, and knowledge-base development using ECRS, A3, 8D, and 5Why methods.
• Lead SMED and flexible-production initiatives for high-mix, low-volume manufacturing in collaboration with production and equipment teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; Industrial Engineering is preferred.
• 5–8 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in industrial engineering.
• Experience with ECRS, VSM, standard work, line balancing, SMED, Poka-Yoke, IE Seven Tools, KAIZEN, and lean improvement initiatives.
• Working knowledge of Python, R, Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, AutoCAD, Plant Simulation, or similar tools; basic VBA or Python programming is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple IE projects independently and familiarity with PMP or Agile methodologies.
• Fluent Chinese and English required for international collaboration and technical presentations.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma or Industrial Engineering certification.
• Experience with low-voltage electrical appliances and fully automated production lines.
• Background in an international manufacturing corporation.
• Practical experience applying AI and machine learning in manufacturing.
