Hybrid Cloud Architect

Location: 100% remote within the Continental United States

What you will do

• Define multi-cloud strategies, target-state architectures, adoption guardrails, and reference designs across AWS, Azure, GCP, and selectively OCI.
• Design federated identity, SSO, cross-cloud authorization, transit hubs, private connectivity, and zero-trust networking patterns.
• Establish reusable infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, container, Kubernetes, and serverless strategies across providers.
• Develop cross-cloud approaches for data movement, residency, analytics, observability, security monitoring, unified policy enforcement, and FinOps.
• Lead multi-cloud disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including KMS and key-management models with security architects.
• Guide engineering teams on cloud-agnostic versus cloud-native patterns and produce architecture diagrams, decision records, and reference designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture roles.
• Hands-on architecture experience across at least two major cloud providers.
• Deep knowledge of cloud networking, identity, security, infrastructure-as-code, and policy-as-code across multiple providers.
• Experience with federated identity, SSO, Kubernetes, container platforms, and managed cloud services.
• Multiple cloud certifications, strong communication skills, stakeholder management experience, and a track record of leading multi-cloud architecture initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience with Crossplane, Pulumi, or Terraform CDK.
• Familiarity with cloud-agnostic observability platforms.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud-to-cloud migrations.
• Exposure to regulated industries with multi-cloud mandates.
• Public talks or writing on multi-cloud architecture.
