Accountant (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite at the designated Suno office 5 days per week. Applicants must be eligible to work in the US. Travel of up to 10% may be required.

Annual base salary: $142,000–$186,000.

What you will do

• Own significant areas of the monthly close, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Build, document, operate, and automate repeatable accounting processes.
• Support the first-year financial statement audit and prepare the organization for IPO-level accounting rigor.
• Research technical accounting matters and respond to audit and tax requests with organized workpapers and analysis.
• Apply AI and automation across the accounting function with appropriate controls.
• Strengthen accounting processes and systems as the team grows.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and high-growth industry experience.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and end-to-end ownership of core close responsibilities.
• Experience supporting external financial statement audits.
• Generalist experience across technical accounting, operational accounting, and systems work.
• Demonstrated use of AI and automation to improve accounting speed and accuracy.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and availability for onsite work 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Consumer technology or high-volume revenue experience.
• Exposure to music royalties, equity, indirect tax, or payroll accounting.
• IPO readiness or SOX experience.
