Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote, with locations listed in Canada and the United States

Compensation: CA$230,000–CA$295,000 in Canada; US$180,000–US$250,000 in California, New York, and Washington; US$160,000–US$230,000 in other US states. Equity is offered.

What you will do

• Build user-facing browser and server experiences for the Cohere Dashboard.
• Develop features for model access, API key management, team administration, billing audits, and documentation.
• Design and maintain resilient, mission-critical systems.
• Collaborate through pairing sessions, architecture design, documentation, and technical talks.
• Identify and remove engineering roadblocks to improve team velocity.
• Adopt technologies that improve product performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Experience shipping products involving a large number of stakeholders.
• Full-stack experience with Next.js, TypeScript, React, and Python.
• Hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical needs to varied audiences.
• Interest in AI and motivation to help scale a company.
