AI Product Intern

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States; hybrid work arrangement.

What you will do

• Support the design and development of AI-powered features across front-end, back-end, and data workflows.
• Prototype and ship internal tools and customer-facing applications using modern web technologies.
• Translate customer problems into product requirements with product managers and engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and operators through design discussions, sprint planning, testing, iteration, and code reviews.
• Analyze data, evaluate AI outputs, and improve the performance, reliability, and usability of deployed applications.
• Contribute to production systems modernizing government workflows, improving healthcare outcomes, and optimizing critical infrastructure.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student in the United States, specifically a junior or senior pursuing Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related degree.
• Software development fundamentals gained through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn Python, TypeScript, React, REST APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Curiosity about AI systems, product thinking, and real-world machine learning applications.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems, learn quickly, communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and take ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience developing software through internships or personal projects.
• Interest in working directly on practical, impactful problems rather than purely theoretical projects.
