Software Engineer - AI Agentic Product Dev Team (US)

Location: Hybrid in Santa Clara, California, United States; employees near Santa Clara must work from the office three times per week.

Base annual salary: $120,750–$161,000, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus of up to 10% and pre-IPO equity.

What you will do

• Build and ship AI-powered product features using LLMs, NLP, and agent-based workflows.
• Develop backend services and APIs for model inference, orchestration, and tool execution.
• Implement LLM workflows, pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation systems, and goal-oriented agent behaviors.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and AI/ML engineers to turn intelligent systems into production features.
• Integrate, evaluate, and productionize models while improving performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Write tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience building backend or full-stack applications.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one of Java, Go, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLM, NLP, or ML-powered features.
• Knowledge of APIs, distributed systems, backend services, prompting, embeddings, and model inference.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including testing, debugging, system design, and a product mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic systems, workflows, or orchestration frameworks.
• Exposure to RAG architecture design and evaluation.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience in AI-first or fast-moving product teams.
