Director of Federal Operations (Federal Software)

Location: Remote - USA

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Build Federal-specific enablement, onboarding materials, operating cadences, reporting practices, and execution rhythms.
• Inspect priority deals, including next steps, risks, ownership, pricing, procurement paths, customer alignment, and PWIN assumptions.
• Track pipeline health, commitments, action items, and deal progression across current and future quarters.
• Lead or support strategic Federal projects, executive artifacts, pricing efforts, and high-priority opportunities.
• Coordinate with Federal leadership, Domain and Mission Directors, Sales, Product, Engineering, Delivery, Finance, Operations, and RevOps partners.
• Turn ambiguity and recurring points of confusion into practical structures, guidance, and actionable work.

Requirements

• Strong operational judgment, follow-through, attention to detail, and ability to create structure in ambiguous environments.
• Experience inspecting pipeline, deal quality, PWIN, stage progression, risks, and next steps.
• Ability to hold senior colleagues accountable directly and collaboratively.
• Strong business judgment across sales, go-to-market, delivery, product, and customer-facing work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, low-ego working style.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and balance standardization with flexibility in complex Federal deals.

Nice to have

• Federal market or Federal operations experience.
• Experience with secure software delivery, Kubernetes, cloud environments, infrastructure as code, GitOps, containers, or continuous delivery automation.
