EHS Specialist

Location: Full-time on-site work in Universal City, California, United States. Requires domestic and international travel of up to 10%, occasional extended hours, weekday nights, and weekends.

Salary: $65,000–$85,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support EHS program implementation across West Coast studio operations, Universal City facilities, and assigned domestic operations.
• Conduct inspections, hazardous materials determinations, health risk assessments, audits, and indoor air quality investigations.
• Investigate incidents, significant events, emergencies, and root causes while responding to concerns involving chemicals, mold, noise, radiation, and air quality.
• Manage chemical inventories, approve studio chemicals, develop technical EHS programs, and advise personnel on compliance requirements.
• Analyze EHS data, maintain Gensuite records, track action items, prepare metrics, and support performance improvement.
• Coordinate audits and regulatory inspections, provide training, participate in Safety Team meetings, and guide tenants and non-employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• At least one year of experience in environmental health and safety or the television and live entertainment industry.
• Experience with EHS technical programs and working knowledge of US EPA, US OSHA, and US DOT regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong written, verbal, presentation, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Unrestricted work authorization in the United States and willingness to work in Universal City, California are required.
• Must be able to work outdoors, at heights, and for extended periods; lift or carry up to 25 pounds and stand or walk for at least four hours per day.
