EHS Senior Specialist

Location: Mossville, Illinois, United States; onsite five days per week. Up to 10% travel expected. Domestic relocation is not provided.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day facility safety activities and partner with employees, leaders, and safety teams to identify risks and improve safe work practices.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety programs, procedures, training, and documentation.
• Advance serious-injury prevention through high-energy exposure recognition, critical controls, bowties, and direct controls.
• Coach leaders, engage employees, and apply Human and Organizational Performance principles and Learning Teams.
• Support contractor safety management, new equipment and process safety, regulatory compliance, and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain safety metrics, trends, and performance indicators while supporting onboarding and recurring EHS training.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of risk management, problem solving, decision-making, collaboration, and EHS policy compliance.
• Hands-on safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or similarly operational environment.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with employees and leaders on the shop floor.
• Ability to work onsite in Mossville five days per week.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Degree in safety, environmental health, occupational safety, or a related field.
• ASP or CSP certification.
• Experience developing safety programs, training, metrics, and reporting in a fast-paced organization.
• Basic knowledge of environmental compliance or waste management.
