Infrastructure Solutions Engineer

Location: United States, remote. If located near a hirify.global office, work from that office 3 days per week.

US base salary: $127,000–$158,700 annually for the national range; regional ranges include $136,000–$170,000 for New York City and California and $144,500–$180,600 for San Francisco.

hirify.global designs, builds, and operates a large constellation of imaging satellites and provides cloud-based satellite data for commercial, environmental, and humanitarian applications.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary contact for cross-engineering infrastructure requests, resolving blockers and triaging complex issues.
• Execute workload and storage migrations across cloud environments, including proofs of concept, configuration ports, and repeatable playbooks.
• Deliver scoped infrastructure projects with platform capability owners and internal engineering partners.
• Develop Terraform modules, Helm charts, CLIs, client libraries, and other tooling in Go and Python.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and worked examples that reduce recurring support requests.
• Build observability dashboards and reporting tools for infrastructure cost, capacity, and usage.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, system administration, site reliability engineering, or a related infrastructure discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Production experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads.
• Experience operating public cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Terraform or Crossplane, Helm, ArgoCD, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Go or Python for automation and infrastructure tooling, with the ability to drive cross-functional projects to completion.

Nice to have

• Experience in developer enablement, platform support, or internal tooling for software engineers.
• Experience with large-scale block storage technologies such as GCP Persistent Disk, Hyperdisk, or Ceph.
• Familiarity with Temporal, large-scale batch data processing pipelines, observability stack configuration, or telemetry practices.
