Network Security Architect (AI)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; local to the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate at personal expense

Annual base salary: $159,100–$257,400, plus potential bonus and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Own the architectural blueprint and governance for a global network security footprint across hybrid environments.
• Define and enforce enterprise security policies covering segmentation, access control, and traffic inspection.
• Integrate security into network, infrastructure, cloud, and IT designs while collaborating across technical teams.
• Identify vulnerabilities and lead complex remediation efforts across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Implement network security automation using scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Act as the escalation authority during critical security events and mentor senior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of progressive experience in large-enterprise networking and network security engineering.
• Expertise in Zero Trust architecture, advanced network segmentation, and global hybrid-cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or GCP with on-premises systems.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and security automation.
• Strong understanding of AI and LLM architectures, including identity and access management, data privacy, prompt injection, model security, API protection, governance, and compliance.
• Advanced knowledge of firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, NAC, microsegmentation, routing, switching, TCP/IP, and enterprise network hardware such as Arista or Juniper.
• Must be local to the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate on their own.

Nice to have

• Experience with Palo Alto Networks products such as NGFW, Panorama, and Prisma Access.
• Exceptional troubleshooting, communication, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
